We provide a range of adult day services for both the individuals supported residentially and those within the community. These services range from social and recreational activities at our vocational center to small groups who volunteer in the community. In any of our vocational programs, individuals are supported by Direct Support Professionals, Job Coaches, and Behavior Technicians and placed in groups that fit each individual’s needs. Additionally, our accessible indoor pool, sensory room, barn, and year-round events are all available to those we support vocationally. If you or your loved one is interested in vocational services at Sunshine, please fill out the form below and our team will follow up with you.
Vocational Building
Right on our Maumee campus, we offer vocational and day services for individuals with varying goals and needs. During day services, individuals participate in sensory activities, art, music, games, year-round Sunshine events, and outings to parks, zoos, shows, and more.
Supported Employment
Supported Employment programs are groups of individuals who work together in paid programs with the support of a Job Coach. These programs include: Georgette’s Grounds & Gifts, Sunshine Studios, barn, greenhouse, shredding, housekeeping, coffee packaging, and janitorial crews. These groups are located on our Maumee campus, at our Uptown Maumee locations, and at our Vocational Center. Additionally, our Venture Groups operate similarly, but spend most of their day volunteering for community organizations.
