He knows every order, stocks every shelf, and always shows up with a purpose (and maybe your favorite snack in hand). “The best compliment I’ve heard about Isaac,” says his supervisor, John Amspaugh, “is that he knows what people want—and has it ready before they ask.”
Isaac takes pride in his role, managing inventory, scanning items, and upselling with a natural salesman’s charm.
He became competitively employed with Sunshine Communities at the Sunshine Market in November 2024—and he’s grown into the role with confidence. “He’s now running the cart entirely on his own,” John shares. “He’s become more independent, more focused, and more driven every day.”
“Isaac makes the workplace better because of his smile and friendly disposition,” John adds. From upselling with ease to stocking and scanning like a pro, Isaac is mastering every part of the job—and making Sunshine a brighter place in the process.

Isaac has an uncanny ability to remember everyone’s favorite snacks—especially Diet Dr. Pepper for his boss, John, or peanut butter and celery for himself. His connection to Sunshine began when he completed his Eagle Scout project on campus after first discovering the organization through a class visit at Maumee High School. His sister Penny also volunteers with the Community Engagement team, and their family has long supported Sunshine—helping author Jeff publish his first book.
Isaac’s confidence shines as he runs the cart independently, making each stop feel personal and welcoming.
When he’s not running the cart or taking inventory, Isaac enjoys spending time with his dad, a fellow avid runner. He also likes lifting weights and playing basketball—just like his sister.
Isaac proves it every day: small moments add up.
