Joy is the thread Sancia weaves into the living
tapestry of Sunshine. At the Castle home, you can feel it
the moment she walks in—there’s a calm that follows her,
warm and steady. Music plays, voices join in, and routines
become moments of dignity and shared experience.
Relationships are at the center of her work. The
individuals she supports trust her, gravitate toward
her, and feel seen, valued, and understood. Her care
is personal, consistent, and rooted in Sunshine’s mission.
As a teammate, she supports new staff with
encouragement and hands-on guidance. She offers
constructive feedback and contributes to a positive,
collaborative culture.
For the last two years, she has attended the Night to
Shine Prom as a dedicated companion, staying by the
side of those she supports to ensure they felt comfortable
and at ease throughout the entire event.
Through her presence, connections grow and lives
are enhanced.
